Through exploration, hands-on activities, games
and nature interpretation students will be able to:
-
demonstrate an understanding of wetland
habitat and functions
-
investigate the dependency and
interrelationships of the living organisms within a wetland
community
-
identify factors that can affect a wetland
habitat and its communities
-
recognize a local wetland as an historically and
environmentally significant site
This program was launched in the fall of 1999 and made
possible through development funding by the Brick Ponds Education Program
Committee, a subcommittee of Woodstock City Council.
Funding support for student participation has occurred
annually thanks to the generosity of the TD Friends of the Environment
Foundation and the Woodstock Environmental Advisory Committee. |
