Pittock Conservation Area

Pittock Conservation Area is located on the north edge of Woodstock (MAP). Pittock's 820 hectares of land and the large reservoir attract approximately 70,000 visitors each year. The park was created when Pittock Dam and Reservoir were completed in 1967.

Pittock CA is open 24 hours/day from April 24 to October 18, 2009. Outside of this season, the park is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed on statutory holidays).

Camping

Facilities

  • Over 250 treed campsites

  • 230 sites with electrical service

  • 2 large group camping areas (minimum 10 units)

  • Washrooms with free hot showers, camp store

  • Recycling, sewage disposal stations, and sewage service

 

Activities & Programs

  • Pool for campers only (July & August, supervised by lifeguards)

  • Recreational programs for all ages (July & August), Recreation Centre, volleyball court, sports equipment for sign out, canoe rentals

Day Use Area

Facilities

  • Picnic area with tables, BBQs and washrooms

  • Splash pad, swimming at beach (unsupervised)

  • Playground, sand volleyball courts

  • Optimist Disc Golf course - intermediate 18 hole disc golf course

  • Food available at park store

Shelters and Pavilions

  • Reserve the picnic shelters for group or family picnics. Call 519-539-5088 ext. 24 for details.

Trails

  • Husky Trail - 2 km.

Fishing

  • Fish from shore or on the reservoir for perch, bass and pike.

Boating

  • Pittock Reservoir is popular for motorboats, water skiing, sailing, board sailing and canoeing (restrictions apply).

  • Launch facilities in the day use area.

  • Canoe rentals.

  • NO Personal Watercraft are permitted at any of our CAs.
