Reservation Rules and Policies

General Policies

  • All 3 of our conservation areas accept campsite specific reservations.
  • A NON REFUNDABLE fee of $10.00 will be charged and payable at the time of reservation confirmation for each reservation made.
  • Payment must be made by Visa or MasterCard for internet and telephone reservations. Cash and debit cards are accepted for any in-person reservations made at the specific park.
  • Once a reservation has been confirmed by either phone or internet, changes and cancellations must be made by calling 1-866-ONT-CAMP (1-866-668-2267). Please have your booking number ready when calling. A $7.00 fee will be charged for each cancellation or change.
  • One vehicle permit is included with you campsite. Any additional vehicles must purchase an "Additional Vehicle Permit" at time of campsite registration. The number of additional vehicles permitted on a campsite varies for each conservation area. A visitor parking lot is available for any additional vehicles.
  • When making multiple reservations for the same time period, the same name cannot be used for each campsite. The reservation must be in the name of the person who is arriving to pick up the campsite permit. Name changes cannot be made upon arrival. Changes can be made prior to your arrival by calling 1-866-ONT-CAMP. A $7.00 fee is charged for this service.
  • All visitors to the campground must purchase a daily vehicle pass and park in designated parking areas. Visitors are admitted from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily, except on holiday weekends when no visitors will be admitted after 8:00 pm. Hours may be restricted at other times at the discretion of the Superintendent/Designate. Visitors must vacate property by 11:00 p.m. nightly.
  • Effective May 14 to May 18, 2009 - The possession or the consumption of alcohol will be a "prohibited activity" at Fanshawe Conservation Area during the Victoria Day Weekend.

Reservation Instructions

  • Site specific reservations must be paid in full by Visa or MasterCard at the time of confirmation (reservation fee plus all applicable camping fees).
  • A 3 night minimum stay is required on the Victoria Day (May 21-24) long weekend. Refunds will not be issued during this time period for a shortened stay.
  • A 2 night minimum is required on all other weekends, from June 25 to September 6, including Civic Holiday and Labour Day weekends.
  • Reservations can be made up until 11:00 pm on you arrival date.
  • Campsite reservations are held until noon on the day following your scheduled arrival date.
  • A maximum of 6 people can occupy a campsite unless comprised of a single family unit (parents and children), except that a maximum of 4 people can occupy a campsite on the Victoria Day (May 15-18) long weekend. 
  • You are allowed up to 3 pieces of shelter equipment on your campsite. Only one of these pieces can be a tent trailer, house trailer, motor home, or self-propelled camping unit.
  • Cancel your reservation before noon on the day of your arrival to receive a full refund (minus reservation and cancellation fees). Cancellations received after noon on your arrival day will be charged the reservation fee plus one night’s camping fee.
  • Campsite check in time is after 2:00 pm, and check out time is before 2:00 pm.
  • To reserve a seasonal campsite, book a group site, or rent a facility, please call the Conservation Areas directly.
